Casa de Campo Pro-Ams 2009
Dear Professionals,
I would like to invite you to participate in the 2009 Casa de Campo Pro-Am series. For the past 28 years I have been hosting you at Casa de Campo and I think we have succeeded in making the events a great experience for you and your amateurs. A Four Seasons hotel is under construction and is scheduled to open in December 2009. This will probably be the last year where I am able to offer you these special tournament packages, so come and enjoy the perfect weather, the great Pete Dye courses and the Dominican hospitality
For the 2009 events we will be offering 6 days / 5 nights packages and 8 days / 7 nights packages for teams who plan to arrive early to extend their vacation to a full week, enjoy our resort and our three Pete Dye courses. The pro-am official arrival day is Tuesday. The tournament rounds will be played Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. This year the first two events will be back to back so you might be able to stay with us for two weeks to enjoy the Caribbean weather.
The dates for our pro-ams are January 13-18, 2009 for the 36th Annual CDC International Pro-Am, January 20 -25, 2009 for the 26th Caribbean International Pro-Am I and February 24 to March 1, 2009 for the 22nd Caribbean International Pro-Am II. The format will be the same for all three pro-ams. The first 36 holes will be one best ball and the final 36 holes two best balls. Teams will be divided into flights according to the total team handicap. Prizes will be awarded in each flight, overall gross and net champions plus overall senior and super senior team winners. For the ladies we will have daily team format. The Professional purse will be $10,000.00 USD based on 28 teams
Although you are in the middle of a busy summer, do not wait too long to register and make your airline reservations. You can fly to La Romana Airport, our private airport on AA direct from Miami or American Eagle from Puerto Rico. La Romana Airport is only a 5 minutes ride to the resort. Flights are also available to Santo Domingo Airport which is a one hour transfer from the resort on AA, USAir, Continental and Spirit.
