Welcome Letter
Dear Friends:

It is my privilege and honor, as the Director of Golf for Casa de Campo, to invite you and your members to join us for what will prove to be the most exciting and memorable event of the year: The 8th Annual Dye Club Championship. For 29 years, I have directed the golf operation at the resort where Pete created four masterpieces that have brought great acclaim and tourism to this part of the Dominican Republic. Pete and Alice Dye, along with sons Perry and PB and their wives, Ann and Jean have shared their vision for a remarkable future for this resort and their love for the people of this country.  It is therefore with great pleasure that we honor their contributions as they return to their cherished home in Casa de Campo, Dominican Republic to celebrate the
2009 Dye Club Championship from October 28 - November 1, 2009.

As the host of this year’s celebration, we are delighted to showcase the world’s top-fifty ranked course, Teeth of the Dog and Pete’s newest addition, the much-acclaimed Dye Fore. This spectacular course runs along the cliffs some 300 feet above the Chavon river, offering breath-taking views of the village of Altos de Chavon, distant mountains and the new 400-berth marina.

With the approval of the Dye family, we have made a few changes to the tournament format. For the 2009 tournament all teams will compete in two separate divisions. The original division of the total of one net and one gross best ball and the new division, the total of two net best ball. All amateurs will have the option to compete from different tees according to their age and handicap. The Professionals will use the Modified Stableford system with a Junior and a Senior division.

By bringing a team of three Amateurs to compete in the championship, you are entitled to receive a complimentary all-inclusive stay of 5-days and 4-nights at Casa de Campo.  If all of your Amateurs are accompanied, your spouse or companion will also receive a complimentary all-inclusive stay.  Should your entire team decide to arrive early or depart after the 1st, we will extend the complimentary stay offer during those extra days as well.  To assist you with your traveling expenses, all Professionals will receive a $300.00 guarantee and the Professional purse will be $10,000 based on a total of 48 teams.

The direct flight from Miami to Casa de Campo is scheduled on Sunday only. For this reason, we suggest you fly to Santo Domingo Airport (SDQ) for arrival day and use La Romana (LRM) for your departure day.  Other options are: American Eagles from San Juan to Casa de Campo daily, AA, Spirit, Continental and USAir to Santo Domingo Airport.  Please make your reservations early because the seats are booked very quickly. We will provide all participants with complimentary shuttle from Santo Domingo, La Romana or Punta Cana Airport.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

A team consists of a professional and three amateurs male or female who are members at a Dye Design Course.

Team Championship:
Pete & Alice Division: One net and one gross best ball. The net and the gross must be from two different players.
Perry & P.B. Division: Two net best ball

AmateurTees:
Blue Tees at 6650 Yards:       55 Years young and younger
White Tees at 6350 Yards:     56 Years young and older
Forward Tees at 5700 Yards:  Ladies

Professional Format & Tees:
The Professionals will play under the Modified Stableford Format.
Gold Tees at 6950 Yards:    49 Years young and younger
Blue Tees at 6650 Yards:    50 to 69 Years young
White Tees at 6350 Yards:  70 Years young and older

Shootout Format:
The shootouts will be played using the format of the division
Pete & Alice Division:   Top Four Teams
Perry & P.B. Division:   Top Four Teams who have not qualified for the Pete & Alice Division
